Ask AI "what's the difference between X and Y". It mostly would happily generate a table and compare them even if they are interchangeable in practice. Reminds me of a trick a teacher taught me in HS, if you don't know the answer to a question that asks you two compare two things, just state the definition "X is .... while Y is …"
It looks like a feature. Probably the user wants to know the tiny detail that make the word different. For example there are words that you say to your friens and others in a bussines meeting.
