Ask HN: Should a tl;dr be mandatory for long submissions?

I've been on HN for a while now and I truly enjoy learning about the ideas, perspectives, and breakthroughs everyone shares here.

But I've been recently struggling with reading through submissions that are almost like novels, often not having any clue about what the author is talking about because sometimes there is no tl;dr summary or the title is too cryptic.

What's made it worse is that a large number of recent submissions are partly or entirely AI generated.

So, I'm wondering how to deal with this. A HN client that automatically summarizes submissions? Or a mandatory tl;dr?
